Often the reason to start a project is lowering the cost of the (internal) operation of the increase of service for the (external) customer. The internal operation is measured by "hard" key performance indicators, whilst the service of the external customer is more difficult to measure and is influenced by "soft" elements. This dilemma makes it key to find the essence: "what is it really about".
When Clients are talking about Focus, Responsiveness, Resilience and Variability for their business, many aspects of their Products, Markets and Processes will be affected.
Searching for a “framework” to manage this complexity, I’ve sought my challenge in certification as Business Strategy Consultant. I also used the certification to contribute my findings.
Depending on the clients' business issue certain activities will be more or less prevailant. The picture shows an example of a client who had to redefine its customer service "direction" due to significant changes in the market. The yellow areas indicate the prime attention areas.
